Winter Course-Evaluation Period Opens

Location:

Online

When:

3/5/2010

Time:

8 a.m.

The College of Health and Human Services uses an online course-evaluation system developed by the College of Engineering. Below is important information summarizing this mostly automated process, which kicks off Friday, March 5. All students’ evaluation responses are kept strictly anonymous.
The course-evaluation survey contains 15 core questions agreed upon in 2005 by CHHS faculty members and the Teaching Evaluation Committee. The survey also contains areas for students to write in additional comments.

Instructors are urged to remind students to fill out the survey, and if there are questions about the online process, please direct them to Communication Director Jody Grenert at grenert@ohio.edu

Here’s a timeline of the evaluation process:

Friday, March 5: Students receive an email via their OU account that contains a link to the online evaluation form. Once they provide their OAK ID, they can evaluate each CHHS course they’re enrolled in. Again, all evaluation responses are kept strictly anonymous.

Wednesday, March 10: CHHS instructors receive emails reporting the evaluation response rate up to that point in each of their courses. A reminder also is emailed to students who haven’t completed their evaluations.

Friday, March 12: Students who have not completed evaluations receive a third and final reminder via email.

Sunday, March 14: The evaluation period ends at midnight and the link to the evaluation form is deactivated.

Spring Break: Individual evaluation results will be emailed to instructors in PDF format; school-wide results in PDF format will be distributed to school directors on a DVD.
