Our college is now your college

CHHS truly is our college; everyone in it — students, faculty, staff — makes an important contribution toward making this a great place. We’re glad you are one of us.

Now that you’ve joined our family, don’t be afraid to ask questions, to seek help in finding your way around Grover Center, our home, or around other areas. I am confident your introduction to this facility and to campus will be successful and you will soon feel at ease.

You are part of a dynamic and diverse college that offers a wide variety of academic programs as well as opportunities for involvement in career or discipline-related clubs and organizations. We are a student-centered college; this newsletter is evidence of that. It offers useful information for new students and tells you how and where to get help when you need it.

The newsletter is one of the "extras" that is provided through the cooperation of the CHHS Student Advisory Council and the Dean's Office, and it contains useful information on college-wide academic and social activities.

Information also will be available to you in our twice-quarterly online publication, Skylights, as well as in weekly emailed announcements from the Dean’s Office.

I urge you to take full advantage of the many opportunities for both personal and academic development that you will have here at Ohio University. I am proud to represent an entire college willing to lend you a helping hand. We want you to be successful.

I look forward to seeing you at CHHS events throughout the year and to shaking your hand when you graduate.
