WHO WE ARE
Ohio University Therapy Associates has been providing physical therapy services and clinical education to the Southeastern Ohio area since 1984. Initially founded as a faculty-based practice, Therapy Associates clinicians now work in a variety of settings through our own clinics, as well as contracts with local facilities, including hospitals, ourpatient clinics, Ohio University's Student Health Center and Ohio University Peden Stadium with varsity athletics. We also have contracts with local school districts.
Several include musculoskeletal evaluation and treatment, neuromusular evaluation and treatment, functional capacity evaluations, geriatric assessments, women's health care, vestibular rehabilitation, treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunctions, wound care, and balance assessment and training.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Ohio University Therapy Associates (OUTA) is committed to provide the highest quality of physical therapy services in accordance with the Ethics and Standards of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Ohio Physical Therapy Licensure Law.
OUTA is mandated by Ohio University, through the School of Physical Therapy and the College of Health and Human Services, to provide clinical education opportunities for Pre-Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy students. It is the goal of this organization to provide these clinical education settings with the highest standards of practice. Ohio University Therapy Associates is also committed to meeting the physical therapy needs of the Athens Community and surrounding counties.
Our mission is to provide superior services to patients and close collaboration with referring physicians and dentists. We are committed to providing personal, "hands-on" care to all patients. We also provide excellent opportunities for clinical practica for Ohio University students.
